Professional Training Instead of Work Experience?
Donβt have the required work experience? You may still qualify if youβve completed a relevant credential program that:
- Is at least 6 months long
- Was done full-time (15+ hours/week)
- Was primarily in-person
- Was completed within the last 2 years
- Is linked to an eligible NOC under the specific stream
Job Offer Requirements
A job offer is essential, and it must:
- Be full-time (30+ hours/week), with no end date
- Be located outside QuΓ©bec
- Match one of the eligible NOC codes
- Include proper wage, duties, and employment conditions
Genuine job offers must show:
- A real need for your role
- That the employer can fulfill all terms of the offer
- Compliance with Canadian laws and standards
- A wage equal to or above the median wage in that province or territory
Who Can Offer You a Job?
Eligible employers include:
- Private households (individual families)
- Businesses or non-profits offering care services
Ineligible employers include:
- Recruitment or placement agencies
- Diplomats or embassies
- Your own family members
- Employers found non-compliant with program rules
Out-of-Status Workers in Canada
If you’re currently in Canada without valid immigration status, you may still have a chance to apply for permanent residence under a special public policy.
Who Can Apply?

You entered Canada on or before December 16, 2021 and have lived here continuously since.

You previously held a valid work permit, even if it has now expired.

Your family members who are also out-of-status may be included in your application.
Who Cannot Apply?
