Exciting News for Skilled Workers in Manitoba!
Today, IRCC has approved Manitoba’s request to extend temporary resident status for potential nominees identified under the province’s Provincial Nominee Program who have work permits that will expire in 2024. These are mainly post-graduation work permit holders who are now in the Manitoba Skilled Worker Expression of Interest pool. This temporary provision will allow 6,700 skilled workers continue their employment while their applications for permanent residence are processed. Expected within two years, these skilled individuals will receive official nominations from Manitoba and eventually become permanent residents.
