Trends in 2025 Express Entry Draws
So far in 2025, IRCC has prioritized:
- Provincial Nominee Program candidates
- French-speaking candidates under the category-based selection
Notably, Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates last received invitations in February 2025. There have been no Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) or Federal Skilled Trades (FST) draws yet this year outside of the French language and PNP-specific rounds.
According to IRCC’s statements, the focus remains on issuing invitations to candidates under priority categories (such as French proficiency) and CEC applicants, aligning with Canada’s 2025-2027 Immigration Levels Plan.
The 2025 target aims to admit 395,000 new permanent residents, with 232,150 immigrants expected through economic immigration pathways like Express Entry.
